The Alzheimer's & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin is a nonprofit organization that provides support to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's or other dementia-related diseases. We understand that every person touched by Alzheimer?s will need support to navigate the course of the disease. Our professionally trained and personally experienced team offers compassionate understanding of each person's unique needs and helps them with personal consultations, education, information and resources. While there is not yet a cure for Alzheimer's, there are strategies and treatments throughout the course of the disease that can help people achieve their best quality of life.
We are also advocates in matters of policy and legislation who work to protect and improve the rights and resources of persons with dementia and their families. Our training specialists educate direct-care staff and other professionals to improve quality of care. We also work closely with the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute to promote access to cognitive testing for early detection of memory disorders and research opportunities.
